Welcome to the alpha release of "KDE Clean" 1.0. I frequently visit KDE's Website; I think it's the best GUI / Desktop Environment on earth. One thing has always bugged me, though: the design uses lots of tables. I wanted to see how well I could "cleanly" reproduce it without looking at any of the code (save the hex color values).

I would like to say a few words about myself; my name is Hans Hermans, and at the time of KDE_Clean 1.0's submission it is less than a two week after my 14th birthday; i've been designing for ~1.5 years. I've taken and learned so much through Open Source, and would like to give back to the community.

If you find yourself using this template for a website or presentation, if you find a bug (this is the alpha release; many are expected), and/or if you have a feature to request, please email me.

• Three columns; plenty of space for links. Can be used as a blog or portal. Can easily be converted to one column by deleting the right menu and resetting the width of the main textarea (#textarea in style.css)
• Very clean code. My tabbing makes the pages very edittable. I've strived to cut down the code as much as possible.
• Works at the lowest and highest resolutions. Browser compatibility between the following rendering engines: Trident [evil IE], KHTML [konqueror, almost Safari], and Gecko [Mozilla, Epiphany, etc.].
• Stylesheet for printed media.
• The dominating color is in a seperate document. If you don't like blue, you only have to change a few values on one small document.
• Menu links are powered by unordered lists; very easy to edit and very clean.
